I first became involved with the Web in 1996. As I am sure many of you did, I started off building websites with free web hosting services such as Geocities and Tripod.

After attending college in Music Business in 1997-98, I got my first marketing gig doing fax broadcasting from home for a Canadian book publisher. While fax marketing was fairly successful at the time, the popularity of the Internet was on the rise and it didn’t take me long before I got involved with SEO, trying to figure out how to optimize a website so it would show up in search engines. The first thing I knew, my free websites were showing up in Alta Vista for a few selected keywords and I was asked to perform SEO and directory submission for that same company I was sending faxes for. From that point, I never looked back and always kept improving my internet marketing skills by reading on the subject, socializing with peers and testing different techniques. Ten years later and after being involved in a few marketing roles in the publishing, pharmaceutical, marketing, online gambling and software industries, I am now the owner of Levert Marketing, an internet marketing company located in Hamilton, On.

When I’m not fueling on achieving new business goals and reaching new heights in search engine rankings, I like playing or watching hockey, playing guitar and spending time with family.
