Graphic design professionals can save a lot of time using existing vector images to create their artwork. Fortunately for them, there are websites out there offering free vector downloads. I have been using several of them through the years. Here are some of my favorites.
Vecteezy
This is my personal favorite. This is also where I found the vector used in the header image. Vecteezy hosts over 100,000+ free vectors, icons, illustrations and clip art designs. You can download most of them for personal and commercial use and the whole process is made very easy.
freepik
freepik is another favorite of mine. It hosts over 80,000 free graphic vectors you can use for your personal and commercial project. Files usually come in ai and eps format.
FlatIcon
Parent site to freepik, it offers thousands of vector icons you can use free of charge with attribution. Getting to the download page requires a little more effort as you need to register first.
dryicons
Similar to FlatIcons, this site offers a nice collection of free vector icons you can use in personal or commercial projects as long as you credit the author. Getting to the download page is easy and it does not require registration.
Pixabay
This site offers thousands of vector graphics, photos, illustrations and videos. You can download and use free of charge. The quality is not the best but it’s definitely worth a try.
Vector Portal
This site offers over 20,000 free vector graphics. The quality is pretty good but compared to other sites on my list, the selection is not as impressive.
Free Downloads
This site offers thousands of free vector graphics to download and use in personal or commercial projects. The quality is not the best and its search engine returns poor results but on the other hand, it is easy to get to the download page and it doesn’t require registration.
Vector Stock
According to their website, Vector Stock offers over 190,000 vector images you can download in ai, eps, pdf or jpg format. Unfortunately, downloads are not free for commercial use. I used this site a few times but I did not find the quality of the vectors to be as good as some other sources.
Free Vector
A great place to find free vector graphics you can download and use with your personal project as long as you credit the author.
vexels
This site offers a nice collection of high quality vectors you can download and use free of charge for your personal project. However, you need to buy a license or monthly plan in order to use their vectors for commercial projects or without attribution. It might be worth a try if you don’t mind annoying popups and having to go through a few pages before getting to your download.
All-Silhouettes
This site is unique in the sense that it only offers vector graphics representing silhouettes. It can be useful if this is what you are looking for. You can use these free vectors for both personal and commercial projects without any attribution.
FudgeGraphics
Unlike other sites on my list, this site is actually more of a blog where the author offers a collection of free vector graphics to use in both personal and commercial projects. Unfortunately, the choice is limited due to its format.
